‘Would make a good Hollywood movie’, ‘Amazing result’ Liverpool Fans React To Champions League Performance

Liverpool took a major step to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League with an impressive 2-1 win over Hoffenheim in Germany. Despite not having Philippe Coutinho, we looked pretty good in the attack and created a number of chances though it was the home side that almost took the lead from the penalty spot.

Simon Mignolet saved our skin by denying Andrej Kramaric before Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the opening goal of the game from a free-kick.

Things got better for us in the second half as James Milner’s lobbed cross was deflected into the net to give us a two goal lead, but Mark Uth scored a late goal to give Hoffeheim a chance in the second leg.

This was just the kind of result we needed after the poor 3-3 draw against Watford on Saturday and it will give us the confidence not only for the second leg in eight days time but also for the match against Crystal Palace in the weekend.

Our fans were extremely vocal after the win and here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.
