Liverpool Winger Wants A January Exit – Player’s Agent Informs Client Club

Lazar Markovic’s time at Liverpool has more or less reached the end as the Serbian winger just cannot seem to get a game for us, irrespective of which competition we play in. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Hull City but he could be on his way to one of his former clubs.

The winger was also on loan at Turkish giants Fenerbahce during the 2015-16 season and did impress in a few games for the club. And now, according to Aksam (h/t Sport Witness

), the player wants to move back to Turkey once again.

Markovic did play 21 games for the club when he was on loan but an injury cut short his time on the pitch. The 23-year-old scored a couple of goals for the Turks and now according to the report, his agent has told Fenerbahce his client wants to move.

That will come as good news to Liverpool fans and even to Markovic but there is one major problem regarding this. The club is not willing to match the transfer fee that Liverpool want for the former Benfica man.

The winger would probably go out on loan in the winter window, as he did last season when he joined Hull City but Liverpool are holding out for a permanent deal. We did something similar when it came to Mamadou Sakho as we held on for the Frenchman’s permanent deal which saw him move to Crystal Palace at the start of this season.

Markovic might not be the greatest transfer we have ever conducted but he always had potential and it is a little upsetting to see him not play to his abilities. The report also suggests that the deal is dependant on Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman and if the boss speaks to the board, they will contact Liverpool to conduct a deal for Markovic.

The sooner we complete this deal the better it would be for both parties as the 23-year-old can start playing regularly and we can also get some money back and take someone off the wage bill.

Jurgen Klopp never really gave Markovic a chance to impress and hopefully, he can start doing well for whichever club he joins.
