“He has a Messi vibe” Arsenal Legend Makes Huge Claim Comparing Liverpool Superstar With Argentine Giant

Mohamed Salah has broken records since joining Liverpool from AS Roma and the Egyptian was at it again, this time against Leicester City. The former Chelsea man scored a brace to help us to a 2-1 win over the Foxes and he matched a record held by Roger Hunt.

Salah scored his 23^rd goal of the season and equalled the record for most number of goals scored in a season before the New Year. The two finishes were sublime to be honest and even though the Egyptian should have scored a few more in the season, many have already said that he could be the signing of this season.

There is no doubt that the Egyptian is doing far better than what most of us expected of him and now Arsenal legend Ian Wright has come out and stated that Salah reminds him of a certain Argentine legend.

As quoted by the Express, Wright was speaking on Match of the Day and said:

“I’m not saying he is as good as who I am going to say but dare I say it. He reminds me of Messi, the scampering way he plays, he has a Messi vibe.”

That certainly is huge praise for a player that many thought would not be able to cut it in the Premier League, especially after his Chelsea stint. It wasn’t just Wright who was singing praises of our magician as another Premier League legend, Alan Shearer also shared his thoughts on the electric Egyptian.

“He got in so many good positions, he can play anywhere across the front line,”

Wright was not done and kept on speaking about the Egyptian’s performance against the Foxes.

“Such quick feet, the way he gets away from defenders, they know that once he is there they can’t touch him. You can’t go anywhere near him, the balance is superb.

“The goal [second one] has everything about it, strength, precision, power, pace and accuracy with the finish. That’s what won the game.”

Salah is easily our best player this season and the only thing he has to work on is his finishing. Should he work on that skill, he would have scored 30+ goals by now but we should be happy with the 23 he has at the moment.

With Philippe Coutinho seemingly on his way out of the club, it is imperative that we not only keep Salah but also make sure he gets better over the course of this season so that we can challenge for the title next time around with the Egyptian leading the attack.
