“I don’t think we will do anything more” – Klopp shuts down chances of more signings by Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that he is pretty certain the Reds will not be bringing in new players to the club after signing Alisson from AS Roma for a world record fee of £65million.

The Brazilian became our fourth signing of the season after Naby Keita

, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri but Klopp’s comments quoted by Liverpool Echo could mean us not signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon.

The manager was quoted as saying:

“We have everything we need for the next season because I don’t think we will do anything more (in the market), I’m pretty sure of that.

“We have the squad now for the moment, and that’s the most important thing. We were not too bad last year but we had to improve and we tried that on the transfer market.”

Klopp then added that we had lost a couple of players last season but that he is happy with the work done in the transfers this time around. He said that he is looking forward to closing the pre-season on a high.

Alisson

The Reds are looking incredibly strong this season after making four key signings but having Fekir over would have really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Fekir later on as the season progresses. Lyon might be looking to make the most of it and try to get more for the player that has won the World Cup.

The Frenchman is still a great player and he could have taken us to another level. But we seem to be sticking to this squad ahead of what could be an excellent season for us.
