Loris Karius took to Instagram to hit out at the critics after the Liverpool keeper was blamed for the third goal that Borussia Dortmund scored in their 3-1 win during the International Champions Cup.
The former Mainz keeper has been under a lot of pressure due to a number of errors in his Anfield career but posted the following message on Instagram.
“To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you.”
Karius almost conceded to Maximilian Philipp too in the first half but was lucky that the Dortmund man could not score from long range as the keeper had rushed off the line to clear the ball.
The 25-year-old will almost certainly be replaced by new signing Alisson in goal and he certainly seems to be struggling to keep his composure at the back.
The former Mainz man did garner some support from former Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas as the player posted a tweet which translated to:
“This attack on @LorisKarius will end sometime? I talk about him like so many other goalkeepers. There are many more serious problems in the world ****! Leave the kid alone! He is also a person. As we all are!”
Este ataque a @LorisKarius va a terminar alguna vez? Hablo de él como tantos otros guardametas. Hay muchos más problemas serios en el mundo joder! Dejar al chaval en paz! También es persona. Como lo somos todos!

Klopp might have thought that playing Karius in pre-season would lead to more confidence but it certainly is not working for the keeper.
Karius could be our back-up this season as we have already sold Danny Ward to Leicester City and Simon Mignolet could be the next player to leave the side in the summer.

The German is a quality keeper but needs a lot of confidence to get back his best, something that Jurgen Klopp will have to work on throughout the season.
