Sadio Mane certainly likes scoring in the opening games of every season. The Liverpool star recently scored a brace for us in the 4-0 win over West Ham United last weekend.
He repeated the trick last season when he scored a spectacular goal against Arsenal at the Emirates – which was also his debut game.
The goal was part of a 4-3 win over the Gunners and this set us up for a top-four finish and a subsequent return to the Champions League too.
The Liverpool Twitter account wanted to remind the fans of the Senegal star’s goal and it was a thing of beauty. Have a look:
The Senegal man plays alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in one of the best attacks in the league and a few fans were quick to share their praise for the former Southampton man.
Some fans even went on to claim that he was better than Eden Hazard while some even claimed that he was the best player in the league.
Here are some of the best reactions to the anniversary of Mane’s debut for Liverpool.
