Jamie Carragher tweeted a picture of a Xherdan Shaqiri jersey for Gary Neville after the former Manchester United defender lost a bet.
“To my number 1 fan Gary. Please don’t track back. Sorry, please don’t back track on this bet.”
Gary and Phil Neville had claimed Shaqiri was disgraceful and unprofessional for his part in Stoke’s relegation from the Premier League last season (h/t Guardian).

since they were United players. The Swiss star performed well in pre-season as he scored a wonderful goal against United in the International Champions Cup and came off the bench in our 4-0 win over West Ham.

The attacker should do well in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and if the Swiss star scores a few goals in the coming months, Neville might feel the brunt from a few fans to honour his bet and wear Shaqiri’s signed jersey.
