“It is not easy but I’m trying” – Liverpool star opens up about huge price tag and how he wants to improve

Liverpool summer signing Alisson has said that he is trying to live up to his enormous price tag. The Brazilian was the costliest keeper in the world until Chelsea signed Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The former AS Roma star has had a brilliant start to his Premier League campaign and has conceded just five goals from 12 games.

Speaking ahead of Brazil’s friendly against Uruguay, the Independent quoted Alisson saying:

“I came here for a high price and some people expect to me to be perfect – it is not easy but I’m trying.”

Alisson added he is working to be perfect in between the sticks and wants to get better with each game.

“I am really, really happy with my move to the Premier League. I’m working really hard to help Liverpool to achieve their goals and also for the Brazil national team.”

Alisson praised our defence for giving him an easy time at the back and claimed that he has to concentrate a lot in games.

“One thing that is important here is the concentration and focus. They are asking me to be really mentally strong.

“My team have a really great defence so it is not often the ball comes near my net.”

The Brazilian has been an excellent signing for the Reds this season, but there have been a few instances where he could have done better.

The goal against Leicester City and one against Arsenal could have been avoided, and hopefully, he will get better in the coming months.
