Former Liverpool player has interesting take on lack of celebrations from star

Luis Garcia has an interesting take on why Mohamed Salah isn’t celebrating with much gusto this season for Liverpool.

The Egyptian scored a hat-trick against Bournemouth at the weekend but his celebrations were muted. The former AS Roma man scored the game-winning goal against Napoli in the Champions League

, but again, there were no wild celebrations.

Garcia was speaking at the BT Sport studio (h/t Mirror) where Gary Lineker asked the panel about why the Egyptian isn’t smiling when he scores:

“Well we still don’t know.

“I think he’s not feeling the same as he did last year. Last year everything was coming easy and this year he’s struggling in a few of the games, having chances and not scoring, probably he’s trying to prove himself and well today once again he done it.”

Salah had a fantastic season last time, and truth be told, he seemed to score with every chance. The 26-year-old even bagged some fantastic efforts, and we were witness to another one against Napoli on Tuesday.

The forward now has 13 goals and four assists in all competitions this season, and our next tie sees us face Manchester United at Anfield.

We won’t mind the Egyptian not celebrating a goal as long as we beat the Red Devils in the Premier League, something we have not done in a while.
