Calciomercato claims that Liverpool youngster Bobby Adekanye has been linked heavily with a move to Lazio.
The striker claimed he would not be signing a new deal with Liverpool and added that he was not happy with his treatment at the club.
The report adds that negotiations with the 20-year-old Dutchman failing and the Mirror (h/t Calciomercato
) claims that Barcelona want their former starlet back.Adekanye spoke about several aspects of his time at Liverpool and even claimed there were several clubs interested in him.
The Dutch forward was upset at his lack of minutes with the first-team and told Voetbal Zone (h/t Calciomercato):
“Being left out of the pre-season tour in the United States was disappointing and contributed to the fact that I don’t want to renew my contract.
“If they promise things like that and they don’t deliver, I don’t know what will happen if I sign for three years.”
The youngster added that the trust wasn’t there any more and believed he was not part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans at the club, so he would be looking at other options.
Adekanye then named Lazio, Barcelona and Willem II as some clubs interested in him but added he could spend a day just listing out all the clubs that want him.
“I also heard about Barcelona, in the Netherlands Willem II made itself heard. I can’t name the entire list of clubs now, because I could continue until tomorrow. “
Liverpool have several youngsters doing well on loan and we have one of the best first XIs in world football, so it would be difficult for anyone to break into the team.
It will be interesting to see which club Adekanye moves to come the end of the season, especially given his outburst against his current club.
