Calciomercato (h/t Mirror) reports that AC Milan are interested in Liverpool target Nabil Fekir.
The Italian report claims that AC Milan want to complete a £26.7m deal for the 25-year-old, just over half of what Liverpool were willing to pay for the Lyon star in the previous summer window (h/t Mirror).
The report adds that Fekir was close to joining Liverpool last season in a £53m
deal, but issues in his medical led to the move being called off.Fekir went on to lift the World Cup with France and had another great season with Lyon too. The 25-year-old helped them finish third while he also did well in the Champions League.
The report adds that Jurgen Klopp is still interested in Fekir, however, the Reds now face competition from Milan.
Fekir is set to leave the French giants in the summer, according to the report, and Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that the French midfielder wants a move away.
Liverpool might have pulled out of a deal last time around, but if Fekir is available for £26.7m, we should go all out for him.
The Frenchman will provide us with another attacking threat and can be the midfield goalscorer we currently lack in the team.
He still would be a bit of a risky signing, but £26.7m isn’t a huge price to pay for someone who has done well in recent years.
Milan will not be playing in the Champions League and Liverpool could be a more attractive proposition given our growth under Klopp.
