Portuguese outlet A Bola (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that Bruno Fernandes’ agent will fly to England to meet three clubs.
The agent will discuss transfer terms with Liverpool, with his client valued at more than £60m by Sporting Lisbon (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The 24-year-old scored 20 league goals and provided 13 assists for Lisbon last season. The versatile midfielder also won the Nations League with Portugal after breaking into the team.
Fernandes normally plays as an attacking midfielder, but he is comfortable in a deeper role or out wide too.
The report adds that no concrete offers have been made for the 24-year-old, but there could be some move for the Portugal star in the future.
The Reds have already been in contact with Sporting this summer and finalised the sale of Rafa Camacho.
The youngster wasn’t willing to sign a new deal with the Reds and had just one year left on his contract.
Liverpool moved swiftly to deny claims that this sale was a part of a move to sign Fernandes from Sporting (h/t Mirror).
Fernandes would provide us with a lot of goals from the midfield, and the Portuguese would also act as cover for our wide players should they get injured.
His asking price is a little steep but Jurgen Klopp has spent big on players that he deems fit for the Reds.
