Adam Lallana could be playing in the Serie A next season as two clubs are interested in the Englishman.
SempreMilan (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that AC Milan and Lazio are keen on landing the 31-year-old.
Lallana has been on the fringes of the first-team since last season due to injuries. The Englishman has mostly been a substitute for us this campaign, with his only start coming in the Carabao Cup win over MK Dons.
The midfielder is out of a contract at the end of the season and Liverpool could allow him to leave (h/t Liverpool Echo).
Lazio has been a happy hunting ground for a couple of our former players, with Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva joining the Romans. Emre Can joined Juventus on a free transfer last year but it hasn’t gone all that well for him.
The Englishman will find it tough to feature in our starting XI even if he plays in a deeper role. Fabinho is excellent in his position while Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are trying to get more minutes.
Lallana’s fitness is a major concern and keeping him on the books doesn’t make a lot of sense. It would be better for him to play in a less strenuous league, and we could push a youngster in the team in place of the 31-year-old.
The Englishman does have some great memories from his time here but his Anfield story could be coming to an end.
