).The 27-year-old joined Ajax in the summer from Sevilla and has scored 11 goals in all competitions so far.
Promes is also a regular for the Dutch national side and has two goals and an assist for them this campaign.
The attacker can play on either wing or as a central midfielder, and has been a bit of a journeyman in his career. The Dutch attacker started his senior career with FC Twente before moving to Spartak Moscow in 2014.
After four years with the Russians, he joined Sevilla a couple of summers ago but was on the move again before the start of this season.
Liverpool have been linked with the Dutch attacker in the past, while Arsenal have been keen too (h/t Daily Post).
Promes was speaking after the game and claimed he was open to a move to England (h/t Daily Post):
“To me, if I have a chance, maybe in the future.”
The current Liverpool side have two Dutch stars in the first-team. Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum start regularly for the Reds and we also have a couple of young starlets coming through the ranks.
Ki-Jana Hoever and Sepp van den Berg have featured in our Carabao Cup games and it will be interesting to see if they get more outings as the season progresses.
