Liverpool are one of the two Premier League clubs interested in Lyon forward Memphis Depay, according to Calciomercato (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The Dutch forward joined the French side from Manchester United and has seen his career take off. Depay is a regular for the national side and has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Lyon this season.
The 25-year-old struggled to make an impact after joining United and was initially sent on loan to the Ligue 1 side.
Depay scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists his second season with the French giants. However, the report claims that Tottenham and Liverpool will both move for Depay as his contract expires in 2021.
The Dutch attacker can play in several attacking positions, and it will be interesting to see if he leaves Lyon in the summer.
The French giants sold Tanguy Ndombele and Nabil Fekir last summer, and are 11th in the table.
However, they are better placed in the Champions League and are three points ahead of Zenit in second place with two games to go.
Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum are two Dutch stars who have impressed since joining.
The Reds also have Sepp van den Berg and Ki-Jana Hoever coming through the ranks.
Liverpool have a decent Dutch contingent, with assistant manager Pep Lijnders being Dutch too, and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for Depay.
