Liverpool to probe incident between this Wolves defender and ballboy

Liverpool probing Jonny for alleged contact with ballboy

Liverpool have launched an investigation into an alleged incident between Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Jonny and a ball boy during the Reds’ 1-0 win at Anfield. (h/t Birmingham Mail)

The incident is said to have occurred as the defender tried to retrieve the ball in front of the Sir Kenny Dalglish stand.

The club released a statement confirming that an investigation was on and no comment will be made until it is completed.

“The club is aware of the incident and will follow established protocols in terms of gathering the relevant information. While that process takes place we will be making no further comment ”

Wolves have been made aware of the alleged incident and are waiting for further feedback from Liverpool. (h/t Sky Sports)

Tempers were high in the heated match as VAR took center stage at both ends of the pitch with both the calls being ruled in Liverpool’s favor.

Neto looked to have equalized for Wolves, only to see VAR chalk it off for being marginally offside.

With the win, Liverpool are now 10 points ahead of Leicester in second, with a game in hand.
