The Reds face competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid who have identified Carlos as a replacement for veteran Sergio Ramos.

The Brazilian defender joined Sevilla in the summer from Nantes for £13.5million and has made 18 appearances for the club this season, scoring 2 goals. (h/t Whoscored)

A mainstay in the Sevilla defense, the Spanish side are third in La Liga with the fourth-best defensive record.

Sevilla will make a hefty profit on the player if Liverpool trigger his release clause of £64million.

The highest fee Liverpool have ever paid for a defender is £75million for the transfer of Van Dijk from Southampton in 2018. It’s an understatement to say that it was money well spent.
