Smith has signed a professional contract

that will keep him at the Etihad for four years. This will become effective when the player turns 18 in June.

The youngster, who has not made a single senior appearance for Kilmarnock, will cost City a compensation of £200,0000. (h/t BBC)

Kilmarnock are also expected to earn a future fee, depending on the teenager’s performances for City. Smith has represented Scotland at the youth level and has won 3 caps for the Scottish Under-17 side.
