Liverpool midfield star fumes at illogical BT Sport script – posts hilarious Instagram montage

Fabinho takes to boxing to destroy BT Sport’s ‘Script of the Season’

Liverpool are currently 25 points ahead of Manchester City with just nine more games left in the season. The Reds need just six more points to guarantee the title assuming Manchester City win all of their fixtures.

The odds are stacked heavily in the Reds’ favour, with off-field events presenting the biggest threat to Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League triumph. Of all the decisions thrown into doubt following the suspension of fixtures, Liverpool’s march to the title looks to be the least contentious.

A number of possibilities are under consideration to compensate for the delay in the football calendar. According to Liverpool Echo, one less discussed option among them is one that concerns a promotional tool used at the start of the season. It is one that Reds fans will hope will not come into play.

Fabinho showed his boxing skills on BT Sport’s script

A computer simulation

The dramatically named ‘The Script of the Season’ was commissioned by BT Sport to anticipate the numbers for every Premier League game. The handout also plotted out the complete campaign of 38 games for every team.

Considering just the remaining fixtures to be played, the script awards Liverpool the title by 16 points, with the Reds ending up on 99 points. They miss out on the 100 point mark owing to a draw in the Merseyside derby while losing 4-1 and 3-1 to City and Arsenal respectively.

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho was unimpressed by the predictions and responded on Instagram with a montage of him boxing the script while going on to call his action ‘unscripted’.

The Brazilian has struggled since his return from injury

A vast majority of Liverpool fans would react in the way Fabinho has done. The Reds have been leagues ahead of their rivals and it seems preposterous to suggest that we would lose by such a margin.

Arsenal have had a season to remember and have in no way suggested that they are capable of beating us, let alone by the suggested scoreline. It remains to be seen what the Premier League decides to do with the fate of the season in the balance.

The veracity of computer simulations can also be put into question. The Liverpool fans will hope to show that their team can prove BT Sport’s predictions wrong and be the John Connor to their Skynet.
