New Liverpool away kit by Nike leaked ahead of 2020/21 season
According to a report by The Mirror, Liverpool’s new Nike away kit for the 2020/21 season has been leaked online. The shirt, which predominantly features a green strip design, appeared on Brazilian website Mantos de Futebol earlier today.
After our previous five-year deal with New Balance, Liverpool will officially embark on a new kit deal worth £30million-a-year with Nike from June 1.
The report adds that our deal with New Balance was supposed to end once the season was done but now, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it looks like we might have to lift the trophy wearing the new shirts by Nike.
The UEFA has allowed all leagues to complete their remaining fixtures of the season by June 30, as per The Mirror, meaning we would be done with our New Balance jersey by then.
Featuring a pleasant mint-green colour, the jersey has a circular neck along with printed designs of Liverpool badges old and new across the body (h/t The Mirror).
The last time we wore a green jersey in the league was back in the 2008/09 campaign. This one, however, is believed to be a homage to all our kits of the past.
Interestingly enough, the first time we wore a green strip was all the way back in the 1991/92 term – just one year before the top-flight was re-branded as the Premier League.

With footballing action suspended for the time being, it remains to be seen if we get our hands on the league title or not. Regardless, the new jersey does indeed look promising ahead of the new term.
