Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane has won the Premier League PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award for 2019-20.
The 28-year-old Senegalese speedster enjoyed a fine campaign, scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists in the Premier League. He was our second most productive player of the season behind Mohamed Salah.
Mane chipped in with some very vital goals over the course of the season as we romped home to the Premier League title. And he has now been rewarded with the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year Award.
The Senegal international was voted as the best player by fans across England ahead of the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Jamie Vardy. He also bested teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Having won the Premier League title, we have also dominated the awards season.
Skipper Jordan Henderson was voted the Football Writers’ Association Men’s Footballer of the Year. This was followed by Jurgen Klopp being named the Manager of the Year, while Trent Alexander-Arnold clinched the PFA Young Player of the Year Award. And now Mane has bagged another honour.
Fans were ecstatic with the news of Mane winning the award. And they took to social media to celebrate the 28-year-old’s achievement.
