Some Liverpool fans hijack England star’s tweet about Steven Gerrard – Ask him to join Anfield

Liverpool fans want Jack Grealish to join, as they flood his tweet about Steven Gerrard

An article by Express claims that a section of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to get Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish to join the club. On that dreaded day, more than 6 years ago now, Jack Grealish was watching as Liverpool took on Chelsea in late April.

Going into the match at Anfield, the Reds needed 7 points from the remaining 3 games to lift their first Premier League title. Steven Gerrard infamously slipped in the first-half stoppage time to let Demba Ba score and put Chelsea in a lead, which they would not go on to surrender.

Watching on from his home, Jack Grealish took to his Twitter account to voice his frustration.

The current English international also showed admiration towards Steven Gerrard on the website a few weeks prior to the Chelsea match, and hoped for the Liverpool skipper to life the title.

It took our fans a fair amount of time to unearth his tweet about the Chelsea encounter, but the replies to it have been nothing short of brilliant. The fans have swamped to his tweet asking him to join Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Jack Grealish has had a sensational start to the campaign, which has put big English clubs on alert. The Englishman scored twice and provided 3 assists as Aston Villa ran our team ragged earlier this season. Since then, his stocks would have only increased.

We do have Sadio Mane on the left-hand side, with the amazing Diogo Jota as a backup, but no fan could say no to a signing if it involves a player like Jack Grealish.

The English international has 5 goals and 6 assists already this season, and the tweets above show that his good form has not gone unnoticed by our fans. While replying to a player’s tweets may not be the best transfer strategy our transfer committee could adopt, it doesn’t harm for our fans to plant a seed in the player’s head by showing adoration.
