Transfer News: Liverpool agree fee for Bobby Clark

According to transfer news from Chronicle Live, Liverpool have agreed on a fee for Newcastle starlet Bobby Clark. Sources from the Reds have given the nod that a deal will happen over time and a fee has been agreed to bring the highly-rated 16-year-old to the club.

Bobby Clark is the son of former Newcastle and Sunderland star Lee Clark and has been making waves at the youth level. At the tender age of 14, he broke into the U-18’s side, highlighting his development beyond his early teenage years.

Clark was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps and continue at Newcastle, as youngsters at this level usually sign scholarships with the club. However, he will leave the Toons without even kicking the ball once for the senior side. His father, of course, went on to play more than 200 games for them and was a legendary name for the Magpies.

The young Clark’s performances have seen the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City show interest. However, as it stands, Liverpool appear to have left their rivals behind in the race to land the teenager. The Reds have agreed on a fee to sign the teenager from Newcastle. The deal is expected to be completed soon.
