Liverpool could be without key players post the international break
According to the Mirror, Liverpool could miss the likes of Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, and Alisson Becker post the international break.
Jurgen Klopp, who decided not to let the Brazilian players in his squad leave for international duty, could now miss three first-team stars in the form of Firmino, Alisson & Fabinho.
Earlier this month, Premier League clubs put out a statement saying that they will not allow their players to travel ‘red list’ countries as the players that return from those countries need to isolate for at least 10 days, according to the UK Government guidelines.
This would entail that the likes of Alisson, Fabinho, and Firmino could miss up 2 Premier League games and a Champions League clash against AC Milan. Given that the Reds have one of the toughest groups in the Champions League this season with the likes of Atletico Madrid, AC Milan & Porto, it is important that they get off to a good start.
Moreover, the Reds have not lost a single Premier League game this season, and the German boss and for them to continue on that run, Klopp would need all of his players to be available for selection.
However, the Brazilian FA are furious with the Anfield outfit’s decision to keep the players at the club despite the likes of Tottenham and Aston Villa allowing their South American players to report to international duty.
Thus, the Brazilian FA is now demanding FIFA ban the Brazilian players who were not allowed to leave by their clubs. The ban would be of ‘five days’ – a rule previously agreed by FIFA.

It remains to be seen whether FIFA do take the required action, and it would surely be a blow for the Reds if the Brazilian FA succeed in their appeal.
