Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma opens up on any he didn’t leave this summer amidst Liverpool links.

According to Metro, Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder, Yves Bissouma, has revealed why he stayed with the Seagulls this summer despite constant interest from the top clubs in England, including Liverpool.

Apart from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are some other top teams that have reportedly shown interest in the player. He made his stance clear in a conversation with the club media.

I didn’t go this summer, maybe its because it’s not my time to go.’

Yves Bissouma is an important part of Graham Potter’s plan. The Seagulls have gone on to play some exciting football under Potter despite being in the bottom half of the table in the last couple of seasons.

Bissouma is happy with his current club and commented on his part in the team, refusing to rule out a move away from the Amex in the future:

“When my time will come, it’s my time, but I’m happy in Brighton, I’m enjoying playing football.”

Despite these statements, the Malian professional is keen on playing in the UCL. He could seek a move away from Brighton with only two years left on his deal. Any of the top clubs such as Liverpool should not be averse to adding such a midfielder to their ranks.

Potter is happy that the midfielder is still at the club and is looking to continue the good work at Brighton. But if he does end up at Anfield in the future, his experience in the PL could be a great factor as it would help him adapt much faster and get to grips.
