Liverpool are not interested in parting ways with Brazilian ace

Transfer News: Liverpool star Roberto Firmino is not for sale

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have no intention of parting ways with Roberto Firmino this summer.

The Brazilian’s future at Anfield has become more uncertain as he approaches the last year of his contract. More so, Darwin Nunez’s addition has now put his starting position in jeopardy.

Firmino’s time as a first-team regular might be a thing of the past as Liverpool brings in offensive reinforcements and restructure their attack. Whilst he might not be an automatic starter anymore, Firmino continues to have a role to fulfil at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino has a contract until 2023.

Amid such a situation the Brazilian have been linked with a move to Juventus as they seem to have a vacant place after Paulo Dybala’s departure. If the Brazilian has to be sold then it is claimed that the Reds are already thinking about a replacement with Rennes’ Martin Terrier on their mind

.

But despite the lack of information on his present contract situation, Firmino is a highly valued member of the Reds team and the club has no intention of letting the Brazilian leave this summer.

The Brazilian has been a devoted servant of the Reds for a number of years, during which time he has established himself as one of the league’s best strikers. He has played a significant role in Jurgen Klopp’s reconstruction of Merseyside.

Although his performance last season has been limited by injuries, the Samba star has consistently displayed impressive form. In 34 games

in all competitions this season, he has 11 goals and five assists.

The 30-year-old committed to a five-year deal in 2018, which will keep him with the team through the summer of 2023. Although the Brazilian hasn’t signed a contract extension yet, recent headlines may indicate that the Reds are already preparing one.

In the Premier League, very few players possess the same grace and proficiency as the 30-year-old. When he plays, he always seems committed and motivated. However, with younger reinforcements joining the team it would certainly become hard for him to feature week in and week out.

It would be best for both parties if Firmino settles in a new role where he wouldn’t have to risk his fitness every matchday, but will continue to play a crucial role for our team. His presence would also help other youngsters develop their game.
