19-year-old Liverpool starlet pens new long-term deal

Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott commits his future to Anfield until 2027

According to the club’s official website, Harvey Elliott has penned a new deal with Liverpool, running until the summer of 2027. The 19-year-old Englishman has 22 appearances for Liverpool’s senior team, since joining the club from Fulham in 2019.

He last signed a contract in the summer of 2021. But the club believes his growth and progress are deserving of fresh terms. It appears to be reciprocated with the player having no qualms about signing the contract.

Elliot had a breakthrough season in 2020/21 with Blackburn Rovers. He spent the season on loan at the Championship club, scoring seven goals

and assisting 11 times across 42 appearances in all competitions.
Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott claims he is ready for regular first-team action.

He impressed during the initial part of last season, when he enjoyed a string of appearances in the first-team. A horror ankle injury against Leeds last season in September saw him sit out for the majority of the season. Elliott eventually returned against Cardiff City in February 2022, scoring a goal on his return.

He also featured in the 2-2 draw against Fulham in the season opener at Craven Cottage. The youngster came on as a substitute, replacing the injured Thiago Alcantara in the 51st minute. The 19 year old has a goal and two assists

for the club across his 22 appearances.

He has a good chance of getting another string of appearances this season, following injuries to Thiago, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. With injuries playing spoilsport, the youngster might be in for a shot at regular playtime.
