Report: Liverpool star and family subjected to home invasion

Home of Liverpool star Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain Cheshire broken in by burglars

According to the Metro, the house of Liverpool star Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain has been on the receiving end of a devastating experience. His house was broken in by burglars, while the footballer was present in the house with his wife Perrie Edwards and one-year-old son Axel.

Burglary into professional footballers’ personal property has been recurring on a daily basis leading to unrest amongst the families regarding their safety. Thankfully, there hasn’t been anything physically untoward that has happened to the players and their families.

Recently, Chelsea’s new signing Pierre-Emile Aubameyang’s house was on the receiving end of an armed robbery at his house in Barcelona. The player was physically assaulted by the armed robbers but fortunately, it was nothing fatal.

Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been left shocked by the burglary at their new place

Just a few days before Aubameyang’s incident, FC Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller‘s home was broken into when he had travelled to Barcelona for a UEFA Champions League game. Over six digits worth of goods were stolen from the property.

Oxlade Chamberlain’s family, who are residents at an upscale property in Cheshire, have been added to this list. Professional footballers’ wages and salaries are open to the public eye with players of top teams generating good revenue for themselves. This makes them easy targets, especially since teams travel on a regular basis.

It is a horrific event for Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and his family

Burglary attempts aimed at professional footballer players’ homes have become a recent theme, putting the lives of the players and their loved ones in danger.

An individual’s home is one of the safest places for any individual and if that security net is compromised, it becomes very tough for an individual to trust the place or the city in a similar manner.

Hence, it is of utmost importance that police take proper note of the crime that occurred at the Liverpool midfielder’s home and do everything in their power to catch the culprits.

Otherwise, it sets a very bad precedent and creates fear for other players and individuals to keep residing in the same area.
