Celebrity Liverpool fan Jake Paul speaks about the club’s 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul took to Twitter to express his dismay at the fact that Liverpool lost their league encounter against Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Saturday. Paul, who claims to be a fan of the Merseyside outfit has been extremely vocal via the microblogging website about the club.

With 20M+ subscribers on Youtube, he is one of the world’s most famous internet celebrities and is now turning his attention towards boxing as well. No doubt, it is great for the club to have supporters who are well-known all around the world, but Paul does not have the best outreach to the public.

Other celebrity Liverpool fans include Daniel Craig, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Lebron James among others. James also owns a minority stake in the club. Earlier this season, Jake Paul had predicted Liverpool to win the league earlier this season. Having said that, here is what he tweeted after the loss against Steve Cooper’s side.

Paul started Tweeting in support of the Reds sometime late last season and put out a tweet supporting Jurgen Klopp’s men in last season’s UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid as well. Moreover, he was heavily ridiculed for the same and was jokingly blamed for the loss as well.

Bad loss for Liverpool

Speaking of the game, it was a tough loss for the Reds, who had most of the ball, and ideally should have made better use of it. Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal early in the second half was the difference between Liverpool and three points.

With that loss, the Reds have not yet won an away game in the league this season. Presently, Klopp’s men are in seventh on the points table and 11 times adrift from the top of the table. Hopefully, the players bounce back from this unexpected loss, to say the least, and make a better case for themselves to finish in the top four.
