Tottenham Hotspur winger Son Heung-min a doubt to face Liverpool next weekend

In what could be a major boost for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Son Heung-min of Tottenham could be a doubt for the next weekend as per The Independent.

The player walked off the pitch following a head collision with one of Marseille’s defenders and a decision will be made on his availability after a medical assessment. Son this season, has made 19 appearances, scoring five goals and making two assists across all competitions. Even though he has struggled at times, the South Korean is a bonafide match-winner.

Apart from Son, Spurs will also be without the services of Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, both of whom are out for a number of weeks. It will be a massive boost for a Reds’ defence that has looked porous this season.

In 13 appearances across all competitions against Liverpool, Son has four goals. With him being a doubt, it could swing the momentum in our favour. Meanwhile, Cristian Romero recently came back from injury and could feature against the Merseysiders.

Liverpool have a fantastic record against Tottenham of late and have not lost to the North London outfit since October 2017. Last season though, both games in the league ended in a draw, something that cost us, dear, in the title race.

The Reds themselves will be without the services of two of their left-wingers Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, both of whom will return only after the World Cup. Apart from the mentioned names, only Joel Matip and Arthur Melo are currently unavailable for Liverpool.

The Reds will need a win this weekend against Antonio Conte’s men to make sure that they have a chance of finishing in the top four at the end of the season. Liverpool have not had the best of starts, but there is still much football to be played.
