Manchester City willing to sell 27-year-old star to beat Liverpool in Jude Bellingham race

Manchester City willing to sell Jack Grealish to fund Liverpool target Jude Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund teenager Jude Bellingham has been garnering a lot of interest from all of Europe’s top clubs, and that would naturally include Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Liverpool’s interest has been quite evident in the recent past and the need for a player of his calibre at Anfield has seen a peak recently due to the inconsistencies in midfield and a few injury-prone players at the club.

Real Madrid are building a team for the future and believe that Bellingham is someone who could spearhead their middle of the park alongside Federico Valverde, who in turn was a Liverpool target

quite early on in the season.

Football Insider via ECHO report that the Cityzens are considering selling Jak Grealish to land Jude Bellingham at the Etihad. However, Grealish only joined a season earlier, and the fact that Pep Guardiola coughed up £100m for the player and wants to trade him for Bellingham so soon rather comes as a shock.

He has only played 55 games for the Manchester-based club, and would probably need more time to prove his worth at the club. Regardless, Liverpool do not have any such player who they can afford to offload to get Bellingham to sign for the club.

Liverpool and Jude

Depth is a major issue at the club, and someone like Bellingham, who is a proven European standard player will certainly help the club on all possible fronts. Moreover, he is close friends with club captain Jordan Henderson, which could possibly help lure Jude to Anfield.

He has been performing exceedingly well for England in the World Cup as well, which will for sure inflate his asking price. The major issue for the Reds now is to secure funds to get Bellingham on board at the club.

Accordingly, the Reds will have to offload a few players to accumulate the funds for a transfer in case there is not enough money pooled in by the owners in the January transfer window.

It’s hard to think who could be our version of a 27-year-old Grealish, who City are allegedly open to selling. Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

are, after all, set to become free agents in 2023. Hopefully, we have just enough to get Jude on board at the club, as the need for a new midfielder is at its peak presently.
