According to Football Insider (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is attracting interest from top clubs including Inter Milan and FC Barcelona.
It also claims that an unnamed club from Saudi Arabia is planning to lure the Brazilian with a mega offer once his contract expires in the summer.
Firmino recently communicated to the club his desire to look for a different challenge once his contract is up and has no shortage of suitors for his next move.
While starting the season as one of the better players in the team, injuries kept him sidelined for a good period. The Reds struggled for goals during this period and could have done with his experience.
He was back to his best against Manchester United and scored a wonderful goal in his cameo appearance proving that he still has what it takes to play at a top level.
The Brazilian has been one of the standout players of the Jurgen Klopp era and was a key figure in the style of play that the German wants to implement.
At the same time, his defensive awareness and ability to drop deep allowed Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to reach the high levels that the duo showed over the past years.
With the acquisitions of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo this year while having Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz alongside Salah, it was evident that the Brazilian could only continue as a squad player due to the added competition.
Hence, it was the best decision for all parties involved and everyone associated with Liverpool would hope that the Brazilian secures a top club and continue his amazing career.
