“The rebirth”- Premier League legend sounds out Liverpool warning as Anfield visit could decide title race

Ian Wright sends a huge Liverpool warning to Arsenal

Liverpool FC’s recent Premier League results have obviously been nothing short of fantastic. Those include a 7-0 win against our arch-rivals Manchester United at Anfield. With the Reds’ growing form, Arsenal legend Ian Wright sends a warning to his old buddies at The Emirates.

After securing these results, Liverpool have climbed up to the fifth position in the Premier League standings and currently trail Tottenham Hotspur, who are in the fourth spot, by only three points. It is worth noting that in April, Liverpool will host the current league leaders, Arsenal, at Anfield.

With second-placed Manchester City on their trail, Arsenal have a possibly tough run of fixtures during the time City have rather easy opponents during that time frame and that is what Wright spoke about too.

Speaking to Premier League productions via Liverpool Echo, here is what Wrighty had to say about Liverpool:

“I saw Man City have got Southampton and someone else, I couldn’t quite see who it was,”

“Instantly, you are looking ‘they will win those two games’.

“Whereas, in that two-game run, Arsenal have got Liverpool away. This Liverpool, from what we have seen. This is the rebirth. The newborn. The (Avengers). They have assembled again.”

Positive Form for the Reds

Liverpool’s recent form shows that they are just gathering momentum, with the victory against Manchester United just a prime example of their potential. Wright’s comparison of Liverpool to ‘The Avengers’ may be seen as a compliment, but it also certainly highlights the immense pressure on Liverpool to perform at the highest level.

Liverpool’s recent performances have obviously been nothing short of extraordinary, and their thumping victory against their arch-rivals has put the rest of the league on notice. With the right mindset, the Reds certainly have it all in them to shake up the league table from this moment onwards.

In addition to their Premier League aspirations, Liverpool will also be looking to make a strong showing in the Champions League. The Reds lost the first fixture of their Round of 16 tie to Real Madrid and home and would certainly hope to come back from the three-goal deficit against the Spanish giants.

However, as impressive as our recent run of form is, Liverpool must now focus on what lies ahead, and the team must maintain their momentum if they are to achieve the club’s goals this season.

More Liverpool News:

Hopefully, “The Avengers” as Wright calls us, win more games and strengthen our chances of a top-four finish, and in case we win against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, there will be nothing better than that for Jurgen Klopp and Co.
