Liverpool to rival West Ham and Wolves for Alex Scott

Liverpool is well aware that building for the future requires the acquisition of talented young players, and Bristol City’s Alex Scott is a name that has caught the club’s attention. However, Liverpool is not alone in their pursuit of the 19-year-old midfielder, as West Ham and Wolves also show interest in signing him. (h/t Daily Mail)

Dave Fallows, Liverpool’s head of recruitment, and chief scout Barry Hunter were present in the crowd as England U20s played Germany last month, closely monitoring Scott’s performance. With 86 appearances for Bristol City to his name since joining the club from Guernsey in 2020, Scott has caught the eye of many top-flight teams. He has four goals and five assists in 44 appearances this season.

Although the 19-year-old’s injury on international duty has prevented him from playing recently, Liverpool remains undeterred in their pursuit. The Reds know that acquiring talented young midfielders like Scott is crucial to building a team that can compete for years to come, especially during a transition period when experienced players may be departing.

Liverpool’s need for young midfielders is not just for the present, but also for the future. As the club looks to build a squad that can compete at the highest level, it is important to have a group of talented and hungry young players who can develop into great players and stand groomed for success. Scott’s potential fits this bill perfectly, and Liverpool will be keen to secure his signature.

Alex Scott to the Reds?

With West Ham and Wolves already on Scott’s trail, Liverpool will have to act quickly to secure his services. However, the Reds have a history of attracting top talent, and their track record of success could prove to be a major selling point for the young midfielder.

Liverpool’s pursuit of young talent obviously doesn’t sit limited to Scott, as the club sees itself linked with a number of other promising youngsters in recent times including the likes of Jude Bellingham and Conor Gallagher.

In order to continue this tradition of developing young talent, Liverpool will need to invest in players like Scott who have the potential to become stars of the future. With the right guidance and support, the 19-year-old could go on to become a key player for the Reds for years to come.

As Liverpool looks to build for the future, the need for young midfielders becomes even more pressing. With experienced players like Firmino set to depart, the club needs to ensure that they have a strong foundation of young talent to build upon.
