Liverpool duo including Jordan Henderson make cut for England’s Euro qualifiers squad

Liverpool stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson make it to England squad for June Euro Qualifiers

Liverpool fans have reason to celebrate as two of their key players, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson, have been selected to represent England in the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The duo’s inclusion in the Three Lions squad for the crucial matches against Malta and North Macedonia on June 16 and June 19 respectively is a testament to their form with the club in recent games.

Trent Alexander-Arnold had rediscovered himself in a new role at Liverpool playing as an inverted full-back for the last two months or so. Jordan Henderson

is a Gareth Southgate favourite of sorts, and his inclusion doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

While Alexander-Arnold and Henderson will be aiming for success with the senior England team, Liverpool’s young talents Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones will be representing England U21s in the pre-U21 European Championship training camp.

Jones has been in great touch for the Reds in recent weeks, and it was almost a matter of time before he received the call-up to the age-group national squad. He has also been in tremendous form in Liverpool’s new system and has shown a lot of promise.

The quartet of them will travel to their respective squads after the conclusion of the league campaign wherein the Reds would hope to finish on a high against Southampton away from home, who would also hope to make their final Premier League appearance in a while count for something.

Apart from the duo of Trent and Hendo, there are no other Liverpool representatives on the senior team. Manchester City, on the other hand, have five of their players representing The Three Lions this international break.

For the time being, Liverpool would hope that they get the best result possible at St. Mary’s and hope for Manchester United to lose both their remaining games which would ensure that the Reds qualify for the UCL. In any case, the manager has already flirted with the idea of playing in the Europa League, so that won’t matter as well.
