Speculation suggests that Liverpool are considering a potential transfer for Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams.

A fresh update from TEAMtalk via ECHO talks about how Liverpool show interest in getting the USMNT captain to Anfield as the Reds are in real need of midfielders following the exit of a sizeable number of players from the club.

Tyler Adams could surely become a good fit for the Reds replacing Fabinho with whom he shares a lot of his attributes. Facing reality, we have to accept that Fabinho has been a shadow of himself in this last season. Even though the whole team was not doing great, Fab was somehow miles off how he usually plays for a major chunk of the season.

Adams to the Reds?

Keeping that in mind, if Liverpool feel that they could do with some extra security in that department and make the Brazilian fight for a place in the XI, that will surely give rise to healthy competition within the squad as well.

Adams could surely push Fabinho to make a run for his money. The 24-year-old American international likes to shoot from distance, and also indulges himself in nasty tackles while also being very good at interceptions.

We are well into the transfer window and that would surely mean that the number of midfielders linked with a move to Liverpool will go up significantly as we are in dire need of them.

As for now, Gabri Veiga, Ryan Gravenberch, Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone all of them see themselves linked with a move to the Reds. Hopefully, we get a few of them and challenge for trophies again.
