Mohamed Salah lavishes praise on former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has heaped praise on his former teammate Roberto Firmino, who recently bid farewell to the club after an impressive eight-year spell in red.

Firmino‘s time at Anfield remained filled with success, including winning the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and the FA Cup among other trophies. In a club-produced documentary called Bobby, Salah expressed his admiration for the Brazilian forward. Here is what Mo said via ECHO:

“He just plays for the team. He doesn’t really care about scoring that much, he just wants to enjoy his game and just play football and wants the team to win.”

“I think he’s one of the ones [who has] been loved the most because everybody likes him. He’s really calm, always smiling. And as I said before, when you see someone sacrifice himself for the team, you see everybody loves him here.”

Salah highlighted Firmino’s versatility and selflessness on the field, describing his ability to contribute to various aspects of the game in different ways. According to Salah, Firmino’s main focus was always on the team’s success rather than individual scoring achievements.
