Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold speaks on his new hybrid role

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold discussed his new role as a hybrid deep-lying playmaker and full-back. He emphasized that the decision of where he plays ultimately lies with the manager, but expressed his enjoyment and satisfaction in both positions.

Speaking to the club’s official website, here is what he had to say about his hybrid role:

“It’s not my decision. I only play where I’m told to play, so all I can say is I enjoy playing football, I enjoy playing right-back, I enjoy playing in the middle of the pitch a lot. It’s somewhere where I find joy and I’m enjoying the challenge of the two, so you know I would enjoy playing there in the next season, but it’s not my decision where I play.”

Trent clarified that the decision of his playing position is not in his hands. As a professional player, he accepts and embraces the role assigned to him by the manager and the coaching staff. Whether it is at right-back or in the middle of the pitch, he is committed to giving his best and contributing to the team’s success.
