“Obviously not the news I was hoping for”- Liverpool star reacts to being sidelined for months after injury on international duty

Liverpool star Andy Robertson puts out social media message post-injury

Following his injury on national duty against Spain, Scotland captain and Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson sees himself sidelined for a substantial time as his latest issue also needs surgery and added rehabilitation time.

The 29-year-old for the longest time, has been one of the most consistently performing players in Jurgen Klopp’s setup; his unavailability is a major concern. While we have the likes of Kostas Tsimikas who is more than capable of putting in a shift for Robbo, the former Hull City man brings unparalleled leadership to the team albeit without the armband.

Putting across a message on social media, Robbo talked about how his urge to bounce back as soon as possible from the setback.

For any team to see a figure as crucial as Robbo sidelined is a major task. Robertson’s ability to stay positive and maintain his fighting spirit in the face of adversity is a testament to his character and determination. He is not only a world-class athlete but also a leader on and off the field. As mentioned earlier, his absence will remain keenly felt, not just for his exceptional footballing skills but also for the leadership and determination he brings to the team.

Robbo sidelined!

While Robertson begins his journey to recovery, Liverpool will need to adapt to his absence. Kostas Tsimikas will likely step into the role in Robertson’s stead. However, it’s undeniable that the Scottish star’s contributions go beyond the pitch, and his leadership will be greatly missed.

While we all hope for him to return as soon as possible, it is also important that Robbo takes time with his recovery and ensures that whenever he returns to take the field, he is ready to go at full-throttle.

Liverpool star Andy Robertson will see himself sidelined for a period of three months due to a shoulder injury.

Under no circumstance would we ever want a recurrence of the injury and that is why, 100% recovery is as crucial as ever.
