Sven-Goran Eriksson responds to Liverpool fans calling for him to manage LFC in the Charity Game

In a heartwarming turn of events, Liverpool fans have come together to support former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and his lifelong dream of managing Liverpool. He has an opportunity to do so in the upcoming Legends Charity Game scheduled for March.

Eriksson, who is bravely facing pancreatic cancer with an estimated year left to live in the “best case” scenario, recently shared his deep-seated desire to manage the iconic team he has passionately supported since childhood.

Liverpool supporters quickly took to social media to express their heartfelt encouragement and rally behind the football luminary. Robbie Fowler joined the group as well, and “put in a call” for Eriksson to take charge of the Reds’ side for the Legends Charity game against Ajax later this year in March.

Eriksson, in conversation with ITV on the Good Morning Britain show, responded to the Reds’ faithful rallying up for the 75-year-old to manage the Reds in what might bring a smile to his face as he continues to battle the evil that is cancer.

“I knew there is a charity game in March. I’ve been invited to watch.”

“I would accept (managing Liverpool Legends), of course! That has always been my dream.”

His willingness to embrace this unique opportunity, even in the face of health challenges, will surely resonate deeply with the Liverpool fanbase.
