Squawka reported the impressive goal-plus-assist tally that Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has stacked despite missing many games

Squawka revealed an impressive stat showcasing the involvement of Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah in front of goals this season. Salah has played a pivotal role for the Reds this season, continuing his prolific career at Anfield despite his age.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made several changes at Liverpool in the summer as players past their peak departed the club. The 56-year-old signed numerous young midfielders to reshape the squad and deployed various tactics to get the best from them.

Klopp tinkered with the tactical role of Salah at the right attacking position, compensating for his slight drop in pace. The 31-year-old relied more on his technical, creativity and ability to form link-ups with his teammates.

The Egypt captain relied less on his dribbling and sprinting this season, dropping further wide in defensive and middle phases. He shifted narrow only on the attacking third, using clever movements and teammates to his advantage.

Salah has made 27 appearances in all competitions, contributing with 18 goals and nine assists this season. Stat-based site Squawka reported that the 31-year-old has been involved in more goals than any other Premier League player this season.

Salah left Liverpool at the beginning of January to serve Egypt in the AFCON competition as their captain. He sustained a hamstring injury and remained sidelined until playing a prolific cameo against Brentford on Saturday.

The Egyptian came on in the 44th minute of the game to replace an injured Diogo Jota.  He provided an assist to Alexis Mac Allister in the 55th minute to increase the lead to 0-2. Salah scored a fantastic goal in the 68th minute to take the scoreline 0-3 in the 68th minute.
