Liverpool Fans have finally received an injury update on star forward, Diogo Jota

Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota just can’t seem to catch a break this season. The 27-year-old had to be taken off on a stretcher after he fell to an injury during the game against Brentford. The Reds won the game by a considerable margin but lost Jota in the process. Luckily for Jurgen Klopp, Mo Salah was standing ready to replace the Portuguese winger and recorded a goal and an assist after coming off the bench.

This marks Jota’s second injury this season. Earlier during their campaign the 27-year-old missed seven games due to a muscle injury. Now, Liverpool.com reports that his latest injury could keep him out for two months.

This is scary for Liverpool who are planning on giving a grand farewell to their manager Jurgen Klopp. The team wants to send the German coach off with some trophies and Diogo’s injury could foil their plans.

If the Portuguese winger does end up missing two months he will be missing a lot of important games for the Reds. Moreover, his timing couldn’t be worse as Liverpool are currently on top of the Premier League but it is a very close race for the title.

The Reds are in the lead and have Arsenal on their tail who are behind by two points. Manchester City are third and needs four points to catch up to Liverpool but the Blues also have a game in hand. Moreover, Jota will also be missing the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
