Breakout Liverpool starlet highlights ‘perfect’ outgoing role model

Jayden Danns still feels star-struck by Jurgen Klopp despite making his Liverpool debut

It’s positive news for Liverpool as Jayden Danns returns to the AXA Training Center with renewed energy following a successful March international break. The young striker played a pivotal role in England Under-18s’ victory in the Pinatar Super Cup, securing a 2-1 win against the Netherlands to claim the trophy.

Danns’ performance adds to his growing list of achievements, as this recent triumph marks his second trophy in just two months. His earlier success came as he played a crucial role off the bench in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup victory against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.

Despite being relatively new to the club, Danns has already made an impact, scoring his first senior goal

for Liverpool in the FA Cup match against Southampton at home. His contributions on both the international and club fronts highlight his potential and promise for the future.
A remarkable season for the youngster

Danns views on Klopp

With the German set to leave as manager in the summer, Danns is making the most of his time with Klopp, even if the boyhood Liverpool fan is still a touch star-struck by his iconic boss. Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Jayden said:

“To be honest, every time I’ve spoken with the boss he’s just been really encouraging and he’s probably the perfect role model, As a manager, personally I think he is the best manager in the world and when you look at him you’re a bit star-struck and he’s got this aura around him.”

“So, yeah, every time you speak with him it’s meaningful and his biggest message is probably to just work hard and even Pep, he has been a big influence on me as well and his message was to work hard and do the same thing as well.”

Danns, who has already made four senior appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, recently penned a new long-term contract with the club earlier this month. The young striker is eager to maximize his time under Klopp’s guidance, recognizing the invaluable opportunity to continue his development within the Liverpool setup.

An emotional time for the Reds as Klopp is counting down his last days at Anfield

Danns’ transition from the academy to the senior set-up has been seamless, thanks to the inclusive environment fostered by the more experienced players he now counts as teammates.

The teenage striker went on to express his delight at how the squad has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, guiding him on the path to becoming the best version of himself. The youngster feels immensely proud to be a part of such an elite club and is eager to accumulate as much playing time as possible under the guidance of the legendary boss.
