Liverpool are keen on AFC Wimbledon keeper Will Mannion as per the news from ESPN. The Reds have noticed him after he put in an impressive performance in the FA Youth Cup this season.
Several scouts have been seen to have been observing him and the keeper is also wanted by Hull City and Stoke City. The player will out of contract in the summer, even though he has been a regular for the U-21 team for Wimbledon. He is one of the brightest youngsters in the country and it is evident by his call for training camp for England U-18 in January. How the player does not have a new contract at Wimbledon is beyond me.
However, it is good for Liverpool as it means that the Reds can bring him to Anfield without much trouble. The competing clubs, Hull and Stoke may cause some problem, but given a chance Mannion would choose Liverpool over them.
