Ever since Jurgen Klopp joined Chelsea, the media could not stop talking about Mario Gotze coming to Anfield. The midfielder has been linked with a move to Liverpool because of the player’s previous relationship with Jurgen Klopp and the Merseyside outfit were also interested as it would appear.
Things are about to get a bit more complicated now though. As per the Sun, the player has opened talks with Chelsea as well. The Blues are set to go a major overhaul in the summer and the incoming boss Antonio Conte is apparently prepared to pay the asking fee for the player. According to the report the management has given the green light to the purchase of the player for £35m.
Liverpool are the favorites though, and if the Reds are ready to match the same amount then it will be an easy decision for Gotze. However, if Klopp is looking to get his ex-protege at a lower cost he should forget about a deal.
