Liverpool Line-Up Bid For Argentine Forward Playing For South American Club Boca Juniors

Liverpool have been linked with a move for many young attackers of late. Christian Pulisic and Sardar Azmoun being a couple who could be on their way to Anfield soon but Football Whispers have learned that the Reds are also in the market for 20-year-old attacker Cristian Pavon.

The Boca Juniors attacker has had a pretty good season so far after scoring nine goals in 14 games this season. Pavon is your typical South American player with a lot of determination and a bit of a street football side in him, akin to Luis Suarez.

He isn’t up to that mark yet but he does seem to have a bright future ahead of him. Although he is comfortable as a striker, the Argentinian has mostly been deployed on the right side of the attack, which highlights his ability to play across the line.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for a striker or attacker and even Jurgen Klopp highlighted the need to bring a player in during the winter window as the Reds will lose out Sadio Mane to the African Cup of Nations.

A move to England for Pavon?

This would not be the first-time Klopp would have moved for a relatively unknown player, he has a history of signing players for small fees and then turning them into monsters for the club, in a good way.

Pavon did start his career with Talleres de Cordoba before joining Boca Juniors in 2014. The 20-year-old still has a lot of time to develop and learn and if Klopp does sign the striker, the Argentine could be sent out on loan to gain some experience of playing in Europe.

It certainly will not be easy for Pavon to adjust to the rigours of the Premier League. Although the player has partaken in the tough games against River Plater, turning up for Liverpool, especially this one needs the footballers to have the bottle to perform.

Pavon is known to be a bit of a specialist when it comes to free-kicks, something that Liverpool don’t really have but it would be tough for him to break into the first team. Even when Sadio Mane leaves, it is a doubt that Pavon would be given the nod ahead of Daniel Sturridge, who did perform well in his 20-minute cameo against Watford.

A more realistic signing could be coming in from Germany as the Pulisic rumours also gather steam. What could work for Pavon is the fact that he isn’t a huge name at the moment and the Reds could sign him for a relatively cheaper fee than Pulisic.

The Reds had a great time with one South American, Luis Suarez, in the side a few years ago. And they would be hoping for much of the same if Pavon is brought into the club.
