Premier League Winner’s Agent Makes A Surprise Claim Linking Liverpool, Arsenal And Other Rivals

One of the areas that Liverpool certainly need to add quality, is the midfield. The Reds just don’t seem to have enough firepower in the middle of the park and with Jordan Henderson nursing an ankle injury, his absence from the side has hurt the Merseyside club.

Yaya Toure might be out of a contract at the end of the season but his agent, Dimitri Seluk, has recently stated that the Ivorian is willing to leave Manchester City and join one of their Premier League rivals.

Speaking to Sky Sports Seluk even named the clubs that Toure would be willing to move to. He said:

 “If Manchester United make an offer I will negotiate, no problem.

“A move to Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal would be considered.”

This might not have been the smartest move by Seluk as he and Pep Guardiola had a falling out with the Ivorian and as a result, was not part of the first team till the pair had apologised to the City manager.

Even though Toure is playing regularly for the first team it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave at the end of the season as Guardiola is looking to overhaul an ageing Manchester City team.

Toure is 33-years-old and it will be a surprise if City retain him and offer him a new contract even though the former Barcelona man recently stated in an interview with Sky Sports that he would want to continue with the club. He said:

“I definitely want to stay. I love this football club.

“To be honest, the manager was the one who tried to get my best. Last year I was overweight, it was a difficult situation, there were a lot of problems with my family.

“I was talking with him most of the time and people were not seeing that on the screen.

“He is the guy that made me come back and that’s why I want to show him he was right.”

Liverpool, however, should steer clear of Toure as they are linked with other young midfielders who could do a better job than Toure. The Ivorian would not be a bad choice to have on the bench but his wages would be extremely high and even the Premier League winner would not like a part-time role at any club.
