‘0 Shots In 270 Minutes’ – Liverpool Fans Mock Lukaku On Twitter Following The Derby Win

Liverpool came out victors in the 228th Merseyside derby thanks to a 3-1 score line. The Reds weren’t the team in form as Everton came into the fixture with a decent showing in their recent games and were looking to win their first game at Anfield since 1999.

The win did give Liverpool a much needed boost in their hunt for the top four and if they continue playing in this manner, that goal will be achieved easily.

Sadio Mane was once again the first scorer as he beat two Everton defenders and shot low across Joel Robles. Everton, however, got back in the game as Matthew Pennington scored his first goal for the Blues.

Philippe Coutinho gave the lead back to Liverpool with a well-taken goal in the first half before substitute Divock Origi made the points safe in the second half.

There were tonnes of tough tackles, some players were lucky to stay on the pitch; tempers were also flared on the touchline and a Sadio Mane injury that will worry Liverpool fans.

With so many talking points, it isn’t a surprise that Liverpool fans had a lot to say on Twitter.
