The news was an absolute surprise! Reports emerged claiming that Tottenham have made an enquiry about signing Mamadou Sakho this summer. According to Vital Spurs, Tottenham have begun negotiations for Sakho by making a transfer enquiry. Surprised? I was surprised as much as you are!

Sakho totally fell out of favour with Jurgen Klopp before the start of 2016/17 season and was frozen out of the team for few months before moving out on loan to Crystal Palace.

The Frenchman played an important role in Crystal Palace staying afloat in the Premier League and became an instant favourite at Selhurst Park. However, Palace have not shown too much interest in taking the lad permanently and Sakho is now once again a Liverpool player.

Sakho is one of very few players in the Liverpool squad who divide opinions like Arsene Wenger does at Arsenal. While some fans feel Sakho would be a good option for Klopp to have, some of them feel it would be better if Jurgen sold the defender for the right price.
