(Picture) Liverpool Complete £5m-a-year Deal – Klopp Holds Shirt With The Latest Sponsor

Liverpool have become the latest club to have signed a sleeve sponsor ahead of the Premier League season.

The news was shared on the official Liverpool site, that an estimated £5million-a-year deal with Western Union has been signed. The company becomes the club’s first ever sleeve sponsor and the deal was announced as a long-term one between the two parties.

Western Union will also become our official principal partner and official money transfer partner as we keep on adding more deals to increase our financial muscle. It wasn’t a surprise that both parties were pleased with the deal as we still are one of the biggest brands in English football if not in the world.

As quoted by the Liverpool website, our chief commercial officer Billy Hogan stated:

“Western Union is an instantly recognisable brand with a truly global footprint and we are absolutely delighted to welcome them as our first ever shirt-sleeve Sponsor and official principal partner.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Western Union through this partnership to create new experiences and opportunities for our fans both in the UK and abroad.”

Jean-Claude Farah, the President of Global Payments at Western Union, also added

:

“The businesses of Western Union and Liverpool FC are both driven by our passion for bringing communities together, whether that be through moving money or delivering the excitement of football experiences.

“This partnership goes far beyond a badge on a shirt, as we will be bringing our digital money transfer expertise to better connect Liverpool FC and fans around the world.”

We Need More Signings

We have been on a rampage when it comes to signing deals with companies, as we already have Bet Victor as our training kit sponsor and a host of other tie-ups too.

What fans are harping for are players coming to the club and we have only signed three players this season.  Credit must be given to FSG as we have been able to not only turn the club around financially but also have been getting deals in to make sure we don’t stick with just one set of sponsors.

We are on much greater ground than we were under our previous American owners and at least there is not a lot of fear of us going bust.
